Thanks lots. And why was it working before? I'm guessing my best bet is to dig out my xp CD and boot into the recovery console so that I can axe it. Works in Safe Mode, however, also works perfectly fine in Debugging Mode, accessible with F8 during startup.
If you can't do this, it should be safe to do a Windows Repair booting off the CD. I had Alcohol 120 installed, but uninstalled that since a lot of people posted that they had similar problems with it. Also it automatically loads two other suspicious kernel mode drivers: "sp+some characters.sys" and "random character name.sys" (thouse "random chars" in their names were different every time i boot-up my pc). By default, the Windows Loader screen only echoes progress dots. SCSI Pass Through - Comes with Alochol Jeremy Came with Daemon Tools. This will abort loading of the SPTD layer. Since SPTD.sys isn't a required by Windows to run it should glaze over it--though freak incidents are not uncommon, you also said it got renamed--it still is unlikely, but better safe
If I go with the prompted safe mode, after loading AGP440.sys it prompts me to hit enter to load SPTD.sys, but whether I hit enter, escape, or wait, it still bluescreens I believe it is part of the Alcohol 120% that Installed though.
